From February 24 until August 20, 2017, the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris holds “Karel Appel. Art as Celebration!”, an exhibition dedicated to a collection of twenty-one artworks donated by the Karel Appel Foundation in Amsterdam.

Varying from paintings to sculptures, the works on view on this occasion, aim attention at the brilliant career of Karel Appel, one of the founding members of the avant-garde CoBrA movement, starting from the foundation of this movement in 1948 up until 2006, the year of the artist’s death.

“Karel Appel. Art as Celebration!” will present some of the best creations of Appel, among them his famous Carnet d'art psychopathologique.

The Hotel de la Motte Picquet is only 20 minutes’ walk from the Musée d’Art Moderne. So, don’t hesitate to attend the exhibition! ;)
