 The Masters of Disorder

An incredible exhibition creates a dialogue between traditional art from all continents and the work of contemporary artists. They all explore the universal theme of chaos and disorder. They illustrate the primitive rituals implemented by the sorcerers, shamans, artists to communicate with its hidden forces in our ancestral beliefs. A mask from Bali and a painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat exchange their reading of the great myths of universal chaos, disorganization, carnivalesque. Jean de Loisy, president of the Palais de Tokyo, chose these works only visible until July 29, 2012 ... The Hotel de la Motte-Picquet highly recommends you do not miss this exhibition which will then leave France for Germany and Spain but beware, some works may shock a young audience.
