Game of Thrones At Porte de Versailles, Paris
Posted in Museums / Exhibits le
When the creators of the new Game of Thrones exhibit at Paris’ Porte de Versailles say that this is the biggest exhibition yet, they aren’t kidding. Smaller shows have come and gone, offering a little taste of GRR Martin’s vivid world. This time the curators have taken over 2,000 square metres of the venue. This means greater attention to staging and design to show off all the props, costumes and other items in full. Visitors can travel through the gallery as though they had disappeared into Westros for an afternoon.
There is a great immersive quality to this show that French fans haven’t been able to enjoy until now. There is a true sense of stepping off the Parisian street and into this fantasy realm. The other great advantage of this show is the long run.
Visitors can come back as many times as they want between June 1st and September 2nd. This means plenty of time to bring friends and family or just more time to indulge a personal fandom.
