How to Enjoy a Romantic Valentine's Day in Paris
Posted in Events le
There are lots of stereotypes when it comes to a Valentine’s date. Some of the old cliches are great when delivered well. It can be difficult to beat a romantic dinner for two at a top restaurant, followed by an evening’s entertainment at the theatre. Add in a romantic walk and some luxury chocolates and it is many people’s idea of heaven. But, there are other places to enjoy a romantic date that do things a little differently.
Head to the aquarium on Valentine’s night
Aquariums at night don’t scream “romance” to everyone. But, there is something magical about the Aquarium de Paris during their Valentine’s evening. This late-opening event immerses couples in a beautiful underwater world and even includes a glass of champagne.
Go to an art gallery after-hours
The Musee Rodin is full of sensual sculptures and thought-provoking art. What better time is there to enjoy them than during a late-night showing for Valentine’s Day. Couples get to walk the gardens at night and admire the art with a backdrop of music.
Enjoy a spookier date at Le Manoir de Paris
Some couples don’t really go in for the hearts, flowers and sentiment of Valentine’s. They would much rather spend a fun night together as a couple, doing something they enjoy. The “Dark Valentine Night” event at Le Manoir de Paris is a chilling, scary event where actors tell stories that aren’t so warm and fuzzy.
Go for a run at 8 am
This may sound insane to anyone that isn’t a fitness fanatic, but maybe that is the point. While many couples are making last minute reservations, some are up early to take part in the hand-in-hand 10k race at Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. It is a great way to test your fitness and dedication as a couple.
There plenty of other romantic events and things to do around our Hotel de la Motte Picquet. So, make this Valentine's Day one the unforgettable ones for you and your significant other.
