Are you looking for a beautiful open-air market?
One of the biggest, and sure to be one of the most popular, is the Champs-Elysées Christmas market, which can now be found at the Jardin des Tuileries. This fair is open now and runs across the season with lots of stalls, rides and even a skating rink. If this all seems a bit busy and noisy, you can head over to the City Hall Christmas Market instead from the 20th of December to see their free animations. Then there is the vast expense of cabins currently set up in La Defense Square.
Are you a tourist looking for the perfect Parisian Christmas market?
Those that are visiting Paris from out of the city, or perhaps even out of the country, will appreciate the chance to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas at a landmark location. This year is the perfect time to attend the Notre-Dame de Paris Christmas Market and honour the building as you browse the stalls. Alternatively, you might want to on over to the Sacré Coeur Christmas Village for a more traditional market with incredible views of the city.
How about a Christmas market with a different flavour or style?
There are lots of markets in Paris for Christmas 2019 that follow the traditional approach with the usual attractions, artisan gift makers and vendors. But, there are some markets across the city and wider area with a different feel. The Swedish Christmas Market is a great example as it offers speciality gifts and goods from the region at the Paris Swedish Church. Then there is the Alsatian Christmas Market at Paris Gard de l’Est. This one runs from December 4th to the 20th to bring a different taste of Christmas to visitors.

The first of these unusual offerings can be found at Provins Medieval City. While we may not want a full Medieval Christmas all season, it is fun to be a part of this world for a day and see the festivities in a new light. You can visit on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of December to see fire-eaters, storytellers and a living nativity scene. But, if you prefer a more modern affair, there is always the winter market at Disneyland Paris. This is already underway and – incredibly – runs until March!
