Come and celebrate Bastille Day in Paris!
Posted in Events le
As soon as the fine weather arrives, Paris presents a completely different aspect. More relaxed, friendlier and, of course, more festive. All this is particularly noticeable during the celebrations of the Fête Nationale, known around the world as Bastille Day, when excitement and jubilation fills the streets. During your summer break at the Hotel de la Motte-Picquet, you’ll have the opportunity to make the most of this very special day...
A Parisian July 14th
If you dream of celebrating the French National Day in a traditional way, don't miss these essentials. On the evening of July 13th, head to the firefighters’ barracks of Paris for the famous Firefighters' Ball. In a warm and good-natured atmosphere, families from the neighbourhood and visitors come together to dance in the open air. Several barracks await you not far from the hotel. The morning of July 14th will, as always, be devoted to the military parade on the Champs-Élysées. Then you’ll have time to stroll a bit before reaching the Champs de Mars for the great symphonic concert. The highlight of the evening will be the highly anticipated fireworks display near the Eiffel Tower.
Party on Bastille Day
For even more fun, you can attend the fashionable Garden Party at the Paris Longchamp racecourse. With gallop races, food trucks, and DJ sets, everything is in place to create an atmosphere that is both relaxed and distinctly Parisian! Or you could opt for the magic of a sunset cruise on a Bateau-Mouche river boat. Along with enjoying a romantic gastronomic dinner, you can watch the fireworks display from the Seine.
Whatever your preferred Bastille Day, the Hotel de la Motte-Picquet team can give you all the essential information and advice you need. And you’re sure to be delighted by the exceptional location of our hotel, just a few minutes’ walk from the Champs-de-Mars.
