The Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées is displaying an outstanding exhibition bringing to light a wonderful selection of Indian pieces of jewelry and impressive items most of which belong to the time of the Mughal Empire.

Running until June 05th, 2017, “From the Great Mughals to the Maharajas: Jewels from the Al-Thani collection” aims at focusing attention, particularly, on the jewelry traditions of the Indian subcontinent, which is definitely the most popular around the world.

The exhibition covers more than 250 pieces from popular institutions and private collections including the magnificent collection of the Al-Thani.

The Wine Cup of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, the “Aigrette”, and the world’s largest cut blue diamond “The Idol's Eye” from the Al-Thani Collection are on view at the Grand Palais. So, don’t forget to mark this special exhibition on your to-do list.
