Vagrant Investigations

The Musée national des arts asiatiques – Guimet (MNAAG) is presenting an exhibition that focuses on the trip of Emile Guimet (1836 – 1918) to Asia with the French artist Félix Régamey (1844 - 1907), three years before the foundation of the museum.

In 1876, Guimet was commissioned by the minister of public instruction to travel to Asia and make a deep study of the different religions of the region.
