Yves Saint Laurent Early Drawings

The name Yves Saint-Laurent is synonymous with fashion and Paris. The YSL line is still revered as one of the leading names in fashion, all because of the talent and ideas of this man. Much of what we know about him is as a designer. After all, he began his career in the industry at the tender age of 18. What we don’t always see is that youthful side. The childhood interests and initial ideas that sparked that journey into a lifelong passion.
The Musée YSL Paris is about to rectify that with a temporary exhibition that focuses on those early years. The show brings together a collection of drawings and projects from his teenage years in Algeria. One of the star exhibits is a miniature theatre, complete with little-costumed performers. Visitors get a new perspective on his love of performing arts, not just fashion, and how this inspired his future work. The show runs from May 29th to September 9th.
Access to the exhibition "Yves Saint Laurent Early Drawings" is included in the price of admission to the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris.
