Located in the northern part of the famous Jardin du Luxembourg, until February 12th, 2017, the Musée du Luxembourg will be staging “Fantin-Latour. A fleur de peau”, a retrospective dedicated to the French artist Henri Fantin-Latour (1836 – 1904).
The exhibition sheds light on the ancient Assyrian capital of King Sargon II, in Iraq, which was irreparably damaged by ISIS; the Bamiyan site, in Afghanistan; the Umayyad Mosque, the Krak des Chevaliers, and the site of Palmyra, in Syria.
